A paper on Traxim written for the 2025 International Association of Rail Operations Research conference (RailDresden 2025) and presented as a poster at the conference. It provides background to the development of Traxim, and further explanation of the technical characteristics of the software.

Worked Example

A description of the inputs and outputs, and associated use case, for a fantasy network based on the western region of the former Milwaukee Road railroad in the United States. The scenario described reflects the sample input and output files available for download below.

The Milwaukee Road fantasy network as a zipped set of kml files to open in Google Earth Pro. These provide track centreline and nominal kilometrage as per the input track geometry files.
